Thanksgiving 2012

It’s finally here, and I am up at 7 making my final list for the day. I hope you’re all enjoying the day ahead and cooking up something great. Please share with me how your holiday cooking goes. I would love to hear about it, there is a place on here for comments and I do read them!

I would like to share this poem with all of you from Ralph Waldo Emerson. This is what I am saying at our Thanksgiving table.

For each new morning with it’s light

For Rest and Shelter from the night

For Health and Food

For Love and Friends

For Everything thy Goodness Sends

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

  2. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family as well! We are the mashed potatoes, rutabagas, tradional stuffing, gravy, salad tradional dinner crowd, with broccoli thrown in for Steve. My Mom bakes the best carrot cake ever, homemade cookies and pumpkin pie. Love the poem!

    • so happy you are reading the blog! I love it! All my best to you and your family. I finally left off the mashed potatoes this year, the 2 sweet potatoes will have to suffice. Happy Thanksgiving.:)
