Thank you for visiting CookingWithCandi! I decided to do this site as I was trying to get all of my recipes together for my daughters to have. But then I thought, why not share? I have the time now, and cooking is definitely something I enjoy more today than ever before. I won’t throw the kitchen sink at you but I’ll share the recipes that I think people will most enjoy–the ones that have been successful, tweaked, cooked, cooked again (and again and again) and basically tried and true. Real true. Most of my recipes were originally inspired by many sources (Food Network, friends, family, etc.) and over the course of many years, have been changed and edited to become my own. If I remember who gave me the original recipe I will always try to credit them. Forgive me if I don’t, and please feel free to let me know if you gave it to me!

The recipes on this site are dishes that my friends and family have been enjoying for years. The majority of what I share can be cooked everyday. Cooking dinner for the family, mostly. But when the holidays roll around, I will share some of my tried and true fan favorites. I’ll also provide tips on setting a beautiful table, keeping cool when you are expecting guests, items you’ll need in the kitchen, and other general tips on entertaining.

My wish is for you to find meals and ideas here that will keep you and yours eating happily and healthfully together for many years but I also hope that you have fun, play in the kitchen, are inspired to cook more, and all the while, feel free to converse with me and ask questions!

I love the “cooking zone!” It’s my happy place.

” You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces–just good food from fresh ingredients.” Julia Child

I hope you can figure this one for me…..I’m looking to bake a whole Hebrew national salami in a pastry crust!! I had it at a party last year and the hostess pretty much looked the other way when I asked for,the recipe!! Having a cocktail party in a few weeks and I would really love,to serve it!! I KNOW you will be able to come up with this!!!
    THANK YOU!!!

    • I never made that but I would imagine you can wrap with the Pillsbury Dough from supermarket and just bake till crust gets golden brown, different from my recipe but would probably be delicious. What could be bad?
